| Calcium Scoring
Calcium scoring is the latest and most advanced non-invasive heart imaging to identify early heart disease before it is a problem. The test can visualize the calcium build within the arteries, if any, more quickly and reliably than ever before. Calcium Scoring requires no preparation. It takes only minutes while you are in a CT scanner and then you are free to resume your normal activities.
 Who Should Have this test?
- A man 45 or a woman 55 or older, or past menopause
- Have a family history of heart disease
- Smoke or are exposed to second-hand smoke
- Have high cholesterol or high blood pressure (hypertension)
- Have an inactive lifestyle
- Consider yourself overweight

Payment
At the current time unfortunately, Calcium Scoring is not reimbursed by most insurance companies. You will be asked to sign a waiver when you arrive at the center for payment. If insurance is billed and denied (as in most cases), you will be billed for the entire charge.
